Why is this drug legal?
It’s actually over-powered...
What drug might I be talking about?
Creatine. Yes, yes I know it is not actually a drug, but the benefits are so extraordinary, that it seems like some illegal chemicals are at work.
Let’s talk about the gnarly benefits, and how to effectively use it.
First, it improves overall muscular performance.
How?
It regenerates ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate - basically the battery life of our muscles). And it boosts recovery. And helps us retain water in our muscles, improving the way our cells swell and get nutrients from the rest of our body.
Basically, we are talking about multiplying gains for power, hypertrophy, and slightly for endurance training… just not cardio.
But cardio gang, do not fret. For the next benefit can be reaped fully by all - regardless of your workout status.
It is the cognitive boost of creatine.
I was always told our biggest weapon is our head. If that is the case, then creatine can help us sharpen that weapon.
Creatine can help improve overall clarity and reduce the effects of things like fatigue and stress.
Several friends and family members of mine literally take creatine just for the cognitive boost.
So it boosts muscular performance, and brain function. Pretty cool right?
Surely there are downsides then, and that's why how you take it becomes an important factor.
Many say they experience cramping and stomach issues when they take a lot of creatine at once or do not drink water. Seems like an impossible solution right?
No, literally all you gotta do is dose it incrementally if you take a lot (anything over 10 grams) and drink plenty of water (wait until I tell you the benefits of good ol’ H2O).
Another concern is the fact that some supplement brands put filler in their creatine, and it is not pure. So just be sure that when you get creatine, you truly verify and trust the brand.
Now that you’re basically a creatine PhD, there’s only one thing left to do - grab some and see the difference yourself!
Stay Clutch,
Luke
